What is Thermostatic Mixing Valve?
|

(1)A Thermostatic Mixing Valve is a valve that blends hot water (stored at temperatures high enough to kill bacteria) with cold water to ensure constant, safe outlet temperatures preventing scalding.
(2)They shut-off rapidly in the event of a hot or cold supply failure to prevent scalding or thermal shock.
(3)TMV accurately control water temperatures for bathing, showering and hand-washing. They maintain pre-set temperatures - even if water pressure varies when other appliances are used. TMV can be fitted under baths and basins, be part of shower fittings, or as a feature of exposed hot and cold water mixers.

(1) HUMANITY: Control the mixing water from 20°c-50°c, the good temperature is 38°c for shower.
(2) SAFE: If the Cold water break off suddenly, Thermostatic Mixer will close automatically, Avoid Scald.
(3) Easy: good for younger and older, there is a safe lock button on the right handle(temperature adjust handle), if adjust the mixing water higher 38C, Thermostatic Mixer system request to press the button, prevent mistake adjust from scald user.

(1) In usually left for cold water, right for hot water, there is a marker on the body also, Blue for Cold, Red for Hot.
(2) If the inlet water temperature or pressure was varietied, the mixing water temperature will variation in ±2°c, adjust the termperature again.
(3) If the inlet cold and hot water pressure ratio is 8:1, please install the pressure-limiting valve.

Installation
-
All installations should be carried out by a Licensed Professional.

Please set the water flush pipe before install the faucet, clear the dirty and impurity inside of pipe, to prevent the faucet block in working.
-
Install in accordance with markings on valve body. i.e. hot water inlet-marked H, cold water inlet-marked C.
-
After temperature setting, if inlets temperature or pressure fluctuates, outlet temperature variation is within+/-2C.
-
The external check valves at inlets prevent cross-flow of hot&cold water when inlets pressure is not the same.
-
If the ratio between two inlets is too large, one flow-limiting valve should be fixed at the side of higher pressure.
-
Prior to installation, provisions should be made to flush the piping of any debris or other foreign materials to ensure proper system operation.

Working Principle
-
A heat sensor is installed at the water-outlet of the constant temperature mixed water valve, the valve core in the valve body is moved by the temperature sensor to block or open the cold hot water-inlet.
-
The hot water opening is increased while the cold water opening is decreased, when the temperature adjusting knob sets a certain temperature, the cold hot water ratio at the water-outlet will be changed as well regardless of the change of the cold water-in or hot water-in temperature, therefore, the constant water-out temperature is ensured.

In both cases the mixed outlet water temperature is automatically and continually maintained at the preset temperature within the tolerances of the valve.

In the event of a cold or hot water supply failure, the seat assembly moves to an extreme position shutting off the hot or cold inlet water port. A mechanical adjustment permits selection of the desired outlet water temperature within range of the valve.

Application

The constant temperature mixed water valve manufactured by our factory specially for the hot water system can be widely used for the electric geyser, solar energy geyser and central heating system.

The user can adjust the mixed water temperature when needed without being affected by the water temperature, water pressure, when the cold water is broken off, the mixed water valve can close the hot water automatically in a few seconds, which shows the safety protection.

Point of use mixing for wash hand basins, bidets, baths and showers in hospitals, schools, sport and leisure facilities, prisons and other public buildings.
