Kamado
History
Kamado grills have been around for hundreds of years predominantly throughout Japan and China, which consisted of a clay pot with a removable domed lid, a damper, and draft door became quite popular. It was originally called a Mushikamado', though its name was eventually shortened to “Kamado”, which in Japanese literally means 'cooking range' or 'stove'. Kamado grills, more so than many other types of cooking appliances, are deeply rooted in history–which is a testament to their enduring usefulness and durability.
